Aurangabad, Nov 5:

The state government has finally given permission to start cinema halls. Eight cinema halls in the city, which opened after 7 months, were thoroughly cleaned and sanitized on Thursday. However, only two cinema halls in the city will start on Friday. Most multiplexes will not be open for a week due to non-receipt of orders from senior management. As a result, citizens will have to wait for another week.

The state government on Wednesday announced its decision to reopen the cinema halls, which were closed due to corona. This was a great relief to the film industry and all the cinema lovers. There are 26 screens in 8 theaters in the city that have seating capacity of about 5,200 people. No multiplexes started on Thursday, however, discussions were on with senior management officials. Dashrath Khajindar, manager of INOX multiplex at Prozone, said that although the state government had given permission to start the cinema halls, no senior management of the multiplex had given orders to the managers of the multiplex to start the show. It is unknown at this time what movies will be screened in the theaters. It will take a week for all the multiplexes to start. Vinod Lokhande, unit head, Mukta Cinema A2, said that the entire cinema hall was cleaned and sanitized throughout the day.

Access to only 50 per cent viewers

We are starting the movie shows from tomorrow. Only 50 per cent viewers of the total seating capacity will be admitted. The cinema hall will be sanitized after each show. Staff were also given training today that each spectator will be examined with an oximeter said, Ravi Khinvasara, director, Khinvasara Cineplex.
