Aurangabad, June 9:

District collector Sunil Chavan informed that the proposed oxygen plants in the district will start operations within 15 days and it will be strengthen the district health machinery further, he opined.

The 125 cylinders oxygen plant at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) has already been started. The work orders for the remaining seven oxygen plants have been issued. The medicine building is ready and the plant will be operated here within two days. The proposed plants at Kannad, Vaijapur and Sillod tehsils will be ready within 15 days. This year, the measures to control the Corona crisis were taken rapidly as compared to last year. One plant will be established at Meltron while some pending works here will be completed soon. The ambulances were less but now ambulances are available at each tehsil. The health facilities at the GMCH are being strengthened and efforts are being taken that good facilities can be provided. Efforts are also being taken to reduced the patients’ positivity rate in the rural areas, Chavan said.
