The police have seized mobile phones, laptop, LED TV and other articles used for gambling. It is the biggest action executed by the police in the city on the IPL matches gambling so far. The police were conducting the panchnama on the spot till late night.

Police received a tip-off that betting on IPL matches is going on in Rauzabaug. Accordingly, under the guidance of DCP Nikesh Khatmode Patil, a police squad headed by PI Sambhaji Pawar and comprising PSI Praveen Patharkar and others raided the multy-storyed building to bust the betting racket. The betting centre looked like a call centre. Betting was done here right from the toss of the match, each ball and the winners of the match.
