Aurangabad, April 17:

The Vedantnagar police booked a PSI of the rural police department along with a lady Police Constable (LPC) for assaulting his wife and illegally confining her in the house.

The Aurangabad Superintendent of Police (SP), Mokshada Patil, took cognizance of the incident and suspended the PSI, Shilesh Jogdand posted in the Deogaon Rangari Police Station and the LPC posted in Aurangabad rural traffic division.

Complainant, Vaishali Shailesh Jogdand (35) and Shailesh are husband and wife. However, Shailesh is in live-in-relationship with the 29 years old LPC. Vaishali stays in the Government Residential Quarters at Snehnagar. She mentioned in her complaint that on April 13, the LPC and her husband Shailesh forcibly entered in her quarters and then a break the articles. They then illegally confined her in the house. They severely beat her and threatened her of dire consequences, if she tells about to anyone. The victim has lodged a complaint against the two. The SP office has suspended both the police officials. PSI Sharda Late is further investigating the case.
