Aurangabad, May 30:

Many Indians still prefer using fingers to clean the teeth and massage the gums to maintain optimum oral hygiene. Oralcare.co.in strongly believes that awareness of the fact that rinsing the mouth by using the fingers can be used to identify initial signs and symptoms of multiple oral health and systemic health disorders.

Keeping this in mind, Oralcare.co.in has started an initiative called RRINNSSE – Rinse and Rotate Index Finger to Note New Signs of Self Evaluation to raise awareness about oral health conditions in the public. RRINNSSE – dental surgeons and specialist doctors at Oralcare.co.in believe that every individual can be successfully made to be self-aware to identify any abnormal changes in the oral cavity during the routine process of rinsing and cleaning the mouth. Rotating the index finger in clockwise and anti-clockwise direction to make sure and touch all the important parts of the mouth – cheeks, inner side of lips, palate, tongue, floor of the mouth, gums and teeth. While doing this, one has to be alert for noting any of the changes such as ulcers, redness, swelling, burning sensation, rough and irregular surfaces and food lodgement. Further, one can also use the fingers to massage the gums properly using adequate pressure; this ultimately results in increased blood circulation and good oral hygiene. It is also very important to break the habit and abstain from tobacco and its products. With this movement, team Oralcare.co.in aims to propagate a healthier lifestyle using self-awareness techniques and existing routine oral health practises.
