The city is set for a major industrial boost as Nidec Global Appliance invests Rs 1002 crore, generating 700-1000 new jobs in Auric.

The MoU was signed on Sunday between Nidec Global Appliance and the Government of Maharashtra, with CM Devendra Fadnavis presiding over the event at Mantralaya, Mumbai on Sunday. This investment will strengthen the region’s manufacturing sector and drive economic growth. Due to this investment city got major push.

Apart from this, Nidec Corporation is expanding its Hubballi-Dharwad facility in Karnataka with an additional Rs 150 crore investment, building on its earlier Rs 450 crore commitment. The expansion, covering 50 acres, will generate 800 jobs and focus on manufacturing alternators, motors, system solutions, and drives for EVs, data centers, and elevators.

Nidec’s expansion in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A part of Japan’s Nidec Corporation, Nidec Global Appliance specializes in R&D, manufacturing, and sales of motors for home appliances like washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers. This investment marks a significant step in the city’s industrial development, further reinforcing Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar’s status as an emerging hub for manufacturing and technology.

More Investments on the Horizon

In another major development, an electronic company is expected to invest over Rs 20,000 crore in Auric City within the next 8-10 days, with land acquisition progressing smoothly. If finalized, this will be one of the largest investments in the region, further accelerating industrial and economic growth. With these investments, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is poised to become a key destination for global industries, creating vast employment opportunities and driving infrastructure development.
