Aurangabad, Nov 23:
Ramesh Pokle who is one of the candidates in Marathwada Graduates Constituency election alleged that BJP intentionally denied him a ticket and gave it to Shirish Boralkar on the basis his bank balance.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Ramesh Pokle who is former Beed district BJP president is contesting as Independent candidate said that he worked day and right for the strengthening the party under the leadership of late Gopinath Munde.
“I have worked on different board and authorities of the university including Senate, standing committee and academic council for the past 20 years and raised issues of graduates, teachers and unemployed youths. Notice of my work was not taken and the ticket was denied to me,” he said.
Pokle questioned about Shirish Boralkar’s remarkable work for party’s strengthening and graduates and criteria adopted for giving him the ticket. “I have requested BJP State unit president Chandrakant Patil to given me second preference candidature, but this too was ignored,” he claimed.
Ramesh Pokle felt that candidates of both BJP and NCP have no moral rights to seek votes as they have not raised the issues of graduates. He alleged that the first one is an expert in getting a ‘tender’ and another becoming a vendor.
“I have campaigned in all parts of the Marathwada and many education voters are with me. The upset leaders of both parties are with me. Members of Marathwada Shikshak Sangh in 76 tehsils and Sambjhaji Sena are supporting me,” he asserted.
