Aurangabad, Nov 12:

A truck traveling from Sillod to Jalgaon fell in a ditch besides the Aurangabad-Jalgaon highway at Ajanta Ghat, killing the driver on the spot and injuring the cleaner. The incident happened on Wednesday night.

According to police, the driver of the truck (MH18-BJ-5261) lost control of a vehicle while trying to avert potholes and collapsed into a ditch on the road near Ajanta Ghat. The truck driver Manoj Donglia (Amarpali, Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh) was seriously injured in the accident and died on the spot and the cleaner was injured. He is undergoing treatment at Ajanta rural hospital. The Fardapur police reached the spot as soon as they got information. The body of the deceased driver was handed over to relatives after autopsy. The potholes on the road from Ajanta ghat on Aurangabad-Jalgaon road have become a threat to the lives of the motorists.
