Aurangabad, Feb 5:

A Gym trainer raped a girl who was preparing for the union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Examination on the pretext of the false promise to marry her. A case has been registered at the Jawaharnagar police station on the complaint lodged by the victim. The accused has been identified as Kartik Raju Lokal (CADA Office Quarters).

The police said, a married woman from the city was living at Delhi away from her husband and was preparing for UPSC examination in the city. On March, 29, 2020, she came in contact with Kartik through a social networking website. Both came close to each other. She told him that she is taking divorce from her husband and he told that he is unmarried. He then gained her confidence and assured her to marry her. He then maintained sexual relation with her during the period between May 12, 2020 and January 21, 2021. However, he started ignoring her for the past few days. Later, she came to know that Kartik was married in May, 2020. Hence, she she asked her about it and then he went to her house and beat her. He also broke her two-wheeler. The victim approached the police and lodged a complaint on Thursday night. A case of rape, beating and cheating has been registered against Kartik. Under the guidance of PI Santosh Patil, API Shraddha Waidande is further investigating the case.
