Aurangabad, Dec 14:

Responding to appeal made by the chief minister and the health minister to donate blood, the local charitable NGO, Al-Farhan Medical Foundation held a blood donation camp on Sunday. As many as 870 donors, including 98 female citizens, donated their blood at the camp organised at Younus Colony (Katkat Gate) from 11 am to 10 pm, on Sunday.

The organisers ensured that the appropriate measures are taken at the camp, including maintaining physical distance and other standard operating procedures. Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Blood Bank, Lokmanya Blood Bank and Dattaji Bhale Blood Bank collected the blood units in their vans.

Foundation''s office-bearers including Zeeshan Patel, Riyaz Kazi, Nizam Siddiqui, Syed Tareq, Sami Siddiqui, Mohammed Altaf, Raees Ahmed, Khan Razi, Naser Basmeh, Anwar Khan, Syed Majed, Abdul Hafeez, Syed Aminoddin and other members took hard efforts for the success of the camp. The NGO is working relentlessly for the upliftment of the urban poor and provides all possible medical help to the needy and poor persons. The blood donation camp is being held for the past eight years. " The responsible citizens turned out to donate blood in large numbers. We are glad that we could contribute to saving the lives of human beings," said Zeeshan Patel.
