The duo got engaged in typical filmi way in an exotic location amidst family members. Friends of the couple and current Indian cricketers wished the new couple on their engagement. Skipper Virat Kohli commented on Hardik Pandya's Instagram post, saying "congratulations H, what a pleasant surprise." Virat wished the newly engaged couple great times ahead. KL Rahul who is a close friend of Hardik Pandya responded with a heart shaped emoticon.
Actress Sagarika Ghatge replied to Hardik Pandya engagement with Natasa Stankovic with a red heart emoticon. Krystle Dsouza sent her congratulatory message to the Indian all rounder on his engagement. Karan Tacker responded by asking a question back, if Hardik had indeed got engaged.
