The Indian team entered the Super 4 with a bang after winning both their group matches in the Asia Cup. Team India under the leadership of Rohit Sharma are the favourites to lift the cup this year.

Arch-rivals Pakistan fought back to level the score at 1-1 in the Asia Cup 2022 tournament. Sri Lanka and Pakistan have taken a strong step towards the final after winning their first matches in the Super 4. Afghanistan and India faced defeat in their respective games.

Batting first, India scored 181 for 7. Virat Kohli made a big contribution by scoring 60 runs. Lokesh Rahul and Rohit Sharma scored 28 runs each. Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya failed and Deepak Hooda played a quickfire cameo of 16 runs.

After Babar Azam fell early, Rizwan took Indian bowlers to the cleaners as he scored 71 runs in 51 balls. Mohammad Nawaz scored 42 off 20 balls to turn the match around. Khushdil Shah (14*) and Asif Ali (16) played quickfire cameos to power Pakistan to a comfortable win.

Sri Lanka are currently on top of the points table after having hammered Afghanistan in their opener in the Asia Cup Super 4 campaign and India can't afford any more slip-ups against Dasun Shanaka's men who are looking pumped up after their comeback-from-behid campaign so far.

India will take on Sri Lanka in their second Super Four match of Asia Cup 2022 in Dubai on Tuesday, September 6. India are in a strange situation as they are facing a potentially must-win situation against the islanders after having lost to Pakistan in their first Super 4 match of the campaign.

Today's game in all probablity is a must win game for India to stay alive in the competition as they have their fate in their own hands.
