Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi on Friday selected his all-time World Cup squad. However, Sachin Tendulkar and Imran Khan have not found a place in his squad.

Tendulkar has the highest score of 2278 in the history of ODI World Cup cricket, after Pakistan won the World Cup under Imran Khan. However, Afridi did not include these two in his squad.

Former teammate Saeed Anwar and Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gilchrist have been named in Afridi's opening squad. Anwar has scored 915 runs in 21 World Cup matches, while Gilchrist has scored 1085 runs in 31 matches.

Australia's World Cup-winning captain Ricky Ponting has since been selected. India captain Virat Kohli has been named in the squad. Kohli has scored 1,030 runs in 26 matches in the Twenty20 and ODI World Cups.
