A magistrate's court today (November 23) granted bail to comedian Bharti Singh and her scriptwriter-actor husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, who were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday and Sunday. The couple was booked after the NCB raided their production office and residence and allegedly found 86.5 grams of ganja. Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa were produced before a magistrates court on Sunday by the NCB after which, they were sent to judicial custody till December 4. While Bharti Singh was taken to Kalyan jail, Haarsh Limbachiyaa was sent to Taloja prison.

Acting on a tip-off, the NCB had searched Bharti Singh's house at Lokhandwala Complex and office on Saturday morning as part of its probe into alleged drug use in the entertainment industry . Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa have been booked under sections 20(b)(ii)(A) (involves small quantity of drugs) and 8(c) (possession of drugs) and 27 (consumption of drugs) of the NDPS Act. Both Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiya confessed to consumption of ganja. Bharti is popularly known for her comedy stints in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. She has also participated in several reality shows including ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’, ‘Nach Baliye’, and others. Bharti Singh got married to Haarsh Limabchiyaa on December 3, 2017, and the couple is currently hosting ‘India’s Best Dancer’ on Sony TV.
