Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty starrer iconic film Hera Pheri will be back with the third installment and the shooting of which has already began. The cult classic Hera Pheri, remains an all-time favorite among audiences. Released in 2000, the film continues to be one of the top five must-watch comedies, even after 25 years. As per the source the first scene of the third installment was shot yesterday. Hindustan Times reported that a source close to the production confirmed the news, saying, “Yes, it’s true. The first scene was indeed shot yesterday with Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh, who will be bringing back the memories of their iconic roles.” Priyadarshan acknowledged the difficulty of creating a third installment, citing high expectations and the need for believable character aging. He views it as a challenge and remains cautiously optimistic.
Re-release of Phir Hera Pheri
Addressing this buzz, producer Firoz A. Nadiadwala spoke to Bollywood Hungama about the possibility of the film’s re-release. He said, "I cannot take this decision alone. While I am the legal owner of the film, morally, Akshay, Pareshji, and Sunil also have equal rights over it. So, we will decide this together." Interestingly, Nadiadwala laughed while answering, hinting that a re-release might indeed be on the horizon. He also expressed confidence that if 'Hera Pheri' returns to cinemas, it will once again create a sensation at the box office.
