Nirbhaya's mother Asha Devi has come out in support of Kangana Ranaut after the actress lashed Supreme Court lawyer Indira Jaisingh. In a interview to News 18 the victim's mother mentioned that Kangana is right and is glad that someone has taken a string stand against Indira Jaisingh. Asha Devi also backed Kangana's statement that rapists should be publicly hanged to create fear in the minds of people who commit such henious crimes. She said, "I fully agree with Kangana, she is right, I am glad that someone has spoken against Indira Jaising and has stood with me."

The fireband actress during the promotion of her film Panga, said that it is women like Indira Jaisingh who give birth to such monsters. Continuing further she stated that Jaising should be locked with the convicts. The statements by Kangana was welcomed by everyone with many of them agreeing with the Gangster actress that the convicts must be hanged publicly. As per the latest update the four convicts have been given death sentence. The hanging is set to take place on the 1st of February 2020. On the work front, Kangana is gearing up for the release of Panga which is slated to release on 24th January 2020.
