A few days ago Luviena Lodh, who is an actor by profession and has starred in short films, took to social media on Friday to hit out at Mahesh Bhatt. In the video which has now gone viral, she claimed that she is being harassed by Mahesh Bhatt and family as she is seeking divorce from her husband Sumit Sabherwal. She claimed that Sumit is the nephew of Mahesh Bhatt and that he allegedly supplies drugs to actresses. Now reacting to the allegations, Luveina's husband, in a statement has said that he is is not the nephew of Mahesh Bhatt.
The statement reads, "We stand concerned for our client Mr Sumit Sabherwal. The claims and contents of the video being circulated by our client's estranged wife Mrs Luveena Lodh are denied in toto. Our client expresses his deepest regret that the good name of Mr Mahesh Bhatt and Mr Mukesh Bhatt is being sullied solely due to his pending (since 2016) matrimonial dispute with his wife."In the statement, it has been further mentioned that Sumit Sabherwal is merely an employee at Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt's production house and that the allegations made by Lodh against Bhatt brothers seem to be a conspiracy.
The statement further read, "It is made amply clear that our client is merely an employee of M/s Vishesh Films Pvt Ltd and NOT related to either of the Bhatt Brothers, as falsely and maliciously been sought to be made out by the video in the question. Every attempt being made in order to formulate a relation between our client and the Bhatt brothers must be construed as a well-crafted conspiracy to precipitate and motivate a lucrative 'settlement' for her disputes with our client; as is amply made clear in her interviews as well. Out client has the highest regard for the judiciary of our country and reserves his actionable claims against Mrs Luveena Lodh for charges as and when he may institute against her."
Earlier, Mahesh Bhatt's lawyer had rubbished all the claims made by Luveina. Even Amyra Dastur's lawyer had called all the allegations made by her false and malicious. In the video, Lodh had reportedly stated that her husband supplied drugs to Amyra Dastur and Sapna Pabbi. Earlier, Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Pooja Bhatt in a twitter post wrote, Luviena is not a relative of Mahesh, as claimed by her. “Please note that the lady in question is not a ‘relative’ since the man she was married to-Sumit Sabherwal is not MR Bhatt’s nephew as mentioned, nor related to him in any other way. Sumit is a senior production manager/head of production at Vishesh Films. Luviena had made her debut in Bollywood with Himesh Reshammiya starrer 'Kajrare' in 2010 which was directed by Pooja Bhatt.
