The first glimpse of  Farhan Akhtar and Mrunal Thakur starrer 'Toofaan' is finally out.  The 2 minute 4-second teaser shows Farhan's character Aziz Ali's struggle from learning to be a boxer to acing the art. Farhan Akhtar shared the teaser on Twitter and called Toofaan, "a labour of love." Sharing Toofaan's teaser on Twitter, Farhan Akhtar wrote, "It fills me with immense joy to give you the first glimpse of a film into which we poured all our love, passion, exuberance, madness even. It truly is a labour of love and today I am so excited to share it with you. Here’s presenting the #ToofaanTeaser (sic)."

The 2-minute long teaser shows Aziz Ali aka Toofaan's (played by Farhan Akhtar) journey to a successful boxer. Mrunal Thakur plays a supporting girlfriend who guides him in the right direction while Paresh Rawal plays Farhan's coach. The teaser also gives the viewers a glimpse of Toofaan's rigorous training, which results in his chiselled physique. Produced by Excel Entertainment in association with ROMP Pictures and directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Toofaan cast includes Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Supriya Pathak Kapur and Hussain Dalal alongside Farhan Akhtar and Mrunal Thakur. The film was set to hit the theatres on September 18, 2020. However, due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the release got delayed and it will now directly release online on May 2021.
