Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has called for a meeting with his alliance partners amid speculations of a rift in MVA government.

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Tuesday said that senior leader Sharad Pawar met Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, but there's nothing to worry about the stability of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government.

Both the Shiv Sena and NCP denied any divide but a comment by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi saying,"We are supporting Maharashtra government, but we are not in the key decision-making role in Maharashtra", created more trouble.

"There is no threat to the Maharashtra government. All MLAs are with us, any attempt to break them at this time will result in the public beating us," Mr Pawar said.

The BJP party has been constantly attacking the MVA government over its tackling of the COVID-19 situation in the state.
