The COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra have been rising for the past many days, the Thackeray government has again started enforcing strict regulations to curb the spread.

The state government has made mandatory for citizens to wear masks, while in many districts of the state night curfew has been imposed to control the coronavirus situation

The cases in Mumbai have also been rising for the past many days. The number of coronavirus cases has been rising since February.

Mumbai's growth rate has reached 0.22 per cent. This has raised the concern of the administration. Regarding this, the Guardian Minister has hinted at reimposition of lockdown again in Mumbai.

Guardian Minister Aslam Shaikh has warned that, Mumbaikars will have to face lockdown if they do not follow the rules. The government has consistently called for compliance with the Coronavirus Rules. But in Mumbai, rules aren’t being followed. Shaikh expressed his displeasure as it is serious that 300-400 people are being invited to the wedding ceremonies which is increasing the chances of virus spread.

He said that the government is doing whatever it's best to curb the spread, but Mumbaikars should also recognize their own responsibility.

“We are keeping a close watch and haven’t ruled out a lockdown since the rules and regulations aren’t being followed strictly in the city,” said Shaikh.
