The covid cases in Maharashtra continue to rise and the number of cases are rapidly increasing in the urban as well as rural areas. A lot of Covid patients between the age of 20 and 45 seem to infected in large numbers. Thi age group step out of their house for job and business reasons.

As a result, covid infection seem to have infected more young people. Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Nana Patole has demanded that all those above 18 years of age should be vaccinated against corona. In this regard, Nana Patole said that the crisis of corona is increasing in the state. On the other hand, vaccination campaign is also being carried out. While it is a good thing that people over the age of 45 are being vaccinated since April 1, it is time to relax the age limit as coronavirus spread is on the rise among young people. For this, the state government should get permission from the central government to vaccinate everyone above 18 years of age and should undertake a large scale vaccination campaign across the state. The age group between 2-45 who go out for work purpose have high chances of coming home and infecting the elderly and young children at home. Therefore, it is now necessary to vaccinate the youth above 18 years of age for vaccination. Vaccinating everyone in this class would make it easier to break the chain of corona infections. Despite the large number of vaccines available in the country, it is unfortunate that young people cannot be vaccinated just because of their age. Vaccination should be done faster than the rate at which the number of coronaviruses is increasing, Nana Patole said. While Maharashtra is in dire need of the corona vaccine, the central government is supplying very little vaccine and providing free vaccines to other countries, including Pakistan. Maharashtra has the highest number of corona patients in the country and the public should also strictly follow the corona prevention rules, demanding adequate vaccine supply before the situation gets out of hand. Nana Patole also appealed for the use of masks, hand washing with soap and adherence to social distinctions.
