MSEDCL's financial situation had worsened due to the Corona epidemic. It is the responsibility and duty of the customers and all of us to enable MSEDCL. Therefore, the state's energy minister Nitin Raut had appealed to citizens to cooperate with MSEDCL by encouraging them to pay their arrears.

He said that out of nearly 2.5 crore household consumers in the state, 6 lakh 94 thousand complaints were received and 99 per cent of them were resolved satisfactorily.

Meanwhile, the BJP had claimed that crores of rupees were being spent on the energy minister's bungalow. The BJP has shared photos of Nitin Raut's government house and office, saying that this is the house and office of Energy Minister Nitin Raut. After this allegation of BJP, Nitin Raut has also replied.

"I like to have a luxurious life", he also questioned whether one cannot live a lavish life.Although I was born into a poor family, I was a pilot. Even then, I could afford it. I like to live this kind of life. Even now, I have not done anything outside the rules, explained Nitin Raut.

Also, the Public Works Department is working under the rules. People need to understand what they are saying. I have brought the TV shown in the photo at my own expense. My previous home had a big TV. If you look at the bungalows of other ministers, they are the same, said Nitin Raut.

Nitin Raut further said, “I am a person of Dalit community. We are a soft weapon for critics. Everyone criticizes us, accuses us of not being able to do anything. We have to see who runs the accusatory news. Nothing happens just by running the news, the party supremo will not remove me by watching the news."

Meanwhile, the BJP had shared photos of the government office and house of the energy minister from its official Twitter handle. The BJP has also demanded that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray should take immediate action against the energy minister.

"An example of the Thackeray government's wastefulness, while giving loan waiver to farmers, there is a financial crisis for the state government, but money is being spent generously while beautifying the office and house of the energy minister.NitinRaut_INC"
