The growing number of corona patients in the country and Maharashtra over the last few days has raised concerns. There is a huge strain on the government and administration in providing health services to the growing number of patients in some places. Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Wednesday hinted at the possibility of new strains of COVID-19 in the state as "some patients are showing behaviours other than routine ones."

However, Sambhaji Bhide, the head of Shiv Pratishthan Hindustan, has made a controversial statement about deaths happening in the state due to covid.

Sambhaji Bhide has made this statement while talking to the media. Covid cases in the state is rising in the state. But corona is not a disease. Corona is a mental illness. People who die from corona are not fit to live. It is foolish to impose restrictions to prevent corona, Bhide said.

Sambhaji Bhide's statement has sparked a new controversy.

Meanwhile, the second wave of covid has hit the country and situation seems to be worse than previous year. On Wednesday 59,907 new covid cases were reported in the state.
