Indoor stadium Mankapur badminton coaches, players and sports enthusiasts requested district R Vimala, NMC commissioner Radhakrishnan B and mayor Dayashankar Tiwari to allow indoor sports activities at Indoor Stadium in Divisional Sports Complex , Manakpur. The coaches and players welcomed the new collector in the city with bouquet. She assured the coaches to look into the issue soon. City mayor has also directed NMC commissioner Radhakrishnan B to consider the request of the coaches and players to allow indoor Sports activities. The coaches said the NMC commissioner has again denied our request for the meeting as his P.A. didn't allow them to meet and asked to meet the deputy Commissioner.

When the coaches met the deputy commissioner he stated that all the guidelines came from the state government and we have to follow accordingly. If the District Disaster Management send a proposal to state disaster management and if the state disaster management approves it then only they can allow indoor sports activities in the city, he said.
