The sixth edition of the Royal Premier Cricket League (RPCL-6) will kick off from February 26. The cricket carnival will be played here at the Mecosabagh Methodist ground, Kadbi Chowk.

According to a press release, twenty teams involving 280 players will take part in the RPCL-6. The season three of the Corporate League will also commence from the last week of February. Eight teams will compete in the RPCL Corporate League Season 3 which will be played on league cum knock-out basis.

Out of 20 teams, 16 teams will be divided equally in four divisions and will play matches on league cum knock out basis. Two teams from each zone will qualify for the knock-outs. Four teams will join them in the pre-quarterfinal phase.

The winners will receive a handsome cash prize of Rs 2 lakh besides the trophy while runners-up will get Rs 1 lakh as reward. Individual awards including man-of-the-match for each game will also be handed over to respective winning players. Best batsman, best bowler and man-of-the-series will also be given to the top performers of the tournament.

The All India cricket league includes top national players who will participate in the winter cricket carnival. The managing committee has been formed for the smooth conduction of the annual tournament.Mohd Asif Rangoonwala, Mohd Sameer Rangoonwala, Vikram Batra, Sunny Dudani, Kunal Bhumralkar, Rohit Kaishalwar, Rajan Nair, Vinay Amrute, Surendra Arora, Moorli Udaasi, Vikas Vaswani, Anil Tekwani, Rohit Nikamme, Tony Waghchoure, Adv Syed Foorqan Rezvi, Piyush Shende, Sharad Parashar, Ashfaq Bera, Aslam Bera, Bunty Pathak, Irshad Sheikh, Harish Rughwani, Onkar Singh Rajput, Abid Bera, Bharat Diwan, Mohd Farid Motiwala, Arpit Jagtap and Rinku Digwah are the members of the organizing committee.For more details interested can contact Mohd Irfan Razzak, secretary RCA and RPCL–6 (9823255886), said a press release issued here on Friday.
