Nagpur: Jan 6

The state government has given permission to schools, colleges and religious institutions amid Covid, but has not given permission to coaching classes to start, which may affect students.

People have huge expectations from coaching classes and due to the shortcomings of government education system, the coaching classes have flourished. The students prepare for board exams, as well as other national entrance tests and other competitive examinations through coaching classes. But still the coaching classes are not given permission and the government is still in doubts. The students may have to pay heavy price for this and state ranking may dip in terms of merit.

Institutes appeal to govt

Coaching classes association across the state have asked permission to the municipal commissioners to allow coaching classes to restart. Currently they are taking online classes and are facing difficulties in conducting online classes and hence are seeking permission to resume coaching classes. ACI has appealed to the state government through NMC commissioner to allow coaching classes.

Students interest

should be protected

ACI president Rajnikant Bondre said that many students prepare for competitive examinations post 12 standard. Coaching classes help them groom and prepare better for various entrance exams and hence it is not in the interest of the students to keep the coaching classes shut. The government should atleast think about the future of the students, he added.
