Amid the coronavirus pandemic many people have lost their jobs, many have suffered losses in businesses. In such situation, a tea-seller in Kurukshetra, Haryana struggling to make ends meet amid the pandemic in order to get loan approached a bank.
The bank rejected his application for the loan but the most shocking part for the tea seller, Rajkumar was the reason behind the rejection. According to the bank, Rajkumar is a loan defaulter and owes Rs 50 crore to the bank.
Rajkumar said, "I had applied for a loan as my financial situation is dire due to COVID. Bank rejected it saying I already have debt of Rs 50 cr, don't know how it is possible."
Rajkumar had a tea stall through which he supported his family but due to covid-19 his business got affected so he came up with a plan of starting a new business for which he required a loan.
The tea-seller approached the bank and as asked, showed his Aadhaar card and other documents. He was then told by the bank that he has already taken a loan of 50 crore. He says he never took the loan.
“I cannot understand that when I have not taken any loan, then who was given this loan in my name and when,” the tea-seller asked.
