A fire broke out at a hotel in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, early on Saturday, April 5. The incident occurred at around 9 am in the Azad Hotel, prompting a swift response from local fire services. Zorawar Singh, Divisional Fire Officer for Srinagar, confirmed that the blaze was confined to the boiler area and some sheds within the hotel premises.

Fortunately, all guests present at the hotel were safely evacuated, thanks to the timely intervention of the fire department. Fire tenders were quickly dispatched to the scene, and the fire was successfully brought under control.

"The fire has been brought under control. We received information about the fire at Azad Hotel at 9 am. We reached here and the fire was in the boiler area and some sheds. People present in the hotel were evacuated safely," Zorawar Singh said.
