Internal disputes in the Uttar Pradesh police have often been reported. Last year, a woman sub-inspector from Meerut district committed suicide alleging harassment. The woman police officer had made a serious allegation of mental harassment by her superiors. A similar incident has come to light in the north region.

A shocking incident has taken place where police constable Jitendra Chauhan allegedly shot himself dead after posting a video on Facebook on Saturday afternoon, alleging harassment by his superiors. The incident took place at Bisalpur Kotwali in Pilibhit. It is being said that Jitendra committed suicide as he was fed up with the harassment taking place in the police department. Jitendra had done Facebook Live before committing suicide. He is often seen saying that he is fed up with the harassment in the police department.

In the video,Chauhan, a resident of Shamli district, who was deployed with dial 112 PRV in Pilibhit, could be seen continuously crying and accusing ill-treatment by the police department responsible for the extreme step he was taking. The constable, who was driving a car, later shot himself dead near Ghazipur Mughal village in Barkhera area about at 3.30 pm, said police.Jitendra Chauhan was a resident of Usmanpur,Shamli district. He joined the police service in 2016. Jitendra Chauhan's wife Sarita Chauhan was also a constable posted at Kotwali in Bisalpur. Jitendra Chauhan's body was found dead in a car on the way to Pilibhit.

As per preliminary reports, police believe the case is a suicide. But no weapon was found at the scene. So if Jitendra shot himself and committed suicide, where did that gun go? Such questions have arisen. Police are investigating the incident from all angles.

On the other hand, it is being said that Jitendra Chouhan was angry with his superiors for not getting leave. Police officials, however, denied the allegations and said there was a family dispute over the suicide. He had certain disputes with his wife that senior officers attempted to resolve. We don’t find any other reason. A few days back, Jitendra Chouhan's wife Sarita was transferred from Bilsanda police station to Bisalpur.
