'My wife, family, sister were not with me at that time. I was alone and suddenly a person came and told me that I had cancer. My wife was in Dubai. So Priya came to me. There is a history of cancer in my family.
My mother also had cancer. Wife Richa Sharma died of brain cancer. So when I found out I had cancer, I was told first that I would not undergo chemotherapy. It was said that if I want to die, I will die but will not take any treatment,' said Sanjay.
Sanjay said that Bollywood director Rakesh Roshan suggested a doctor for cancer treatment. At that time we had to face with a lot of courage. Sanjay also said that he was ready to undergo treatment only and only for the sake of his family.
'I have seen my family fall apart and one night I decided that if I stay sick, the family will fall too. So I decided to fight for my family," said Sanjay.
