TVS Iqube again beats Bajaj Chetak in electric scooter segment sales in september 2021

The ever-increasing prices of petrol and diesel have led to a huge increase in demand for electric vehicles. Along with electric cars, the demand for electric scooters is also on the rise.

TVS Motors and Bajaj Auto, the two leading automakers in the country, launched their first electric scooters Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube in the domestic market. The comparison of these two scooters started after it was launched in the market, in September TVS iQube launched Bajaj Chetak Ile.

In the electric two-wheeler segment in India, Bajaj Auto and TVS Motors have two major electric scooters, the Bajaj Chetak and the TVS iQube. In September, Bajaj Auto sold 642 units of its only electric scooter.

Chetak's sales have increased by 123 percent. Despite the increase in demand for Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube has once again beaten Chetak in September. There is not much difference in the sales of both the scooters in the month of September. TVS Motors launched a total of 766 units of the iCube this month.

In September last year, TVS had sold only seven electric scooters in India. With more than 759 scooters sold, the iCube's sales this year have grown by a whopping 10,843 percent over last year.

The Bajaj Chetak scooter is powered by a 3kWh IP67 rated lithium-ion battery pack. The electric motor provided in it generates 4kW of power and 16Nm of peak torque. This scooter offers a maximum driving range of up to 95 km in eco mode.

The Bajaj Chetak scooter has LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and a full-digital instrument console. It also has 12-inch alloy wheels on both sides. The new electric Chetak also has the option of reverse gear. Chetak has mono-shock suspension and both.

Bajaj Chetak The company has given round shape headlights on the front side of this scooter with tubeless tires with multi-spoke alloy wheels. It has many premium features like a digital instrument cluster, key-less ignition, oval LED strip near the headlamps on the front.

The TVS iQube electric scooter uses a 4.4kW electric motor. The company claims that this scooter offers a driving range of up to 75 km on a single charge and its top speed is 78 km per hour. This scooter reaches 40 per hour in just 4.2 seconds.

The battery of the TVS iQube electric scooter is fully charged in 4 to 5 hours with a standard 5A charger. This scooter has a black cowl between the handles. The scooter features a U-shaped LED DRL, a crystal clear LED headlamp. Also, Smart X with Connect technology.

The TVS iQube scooter has special features like Q Park Assist, Day and Night Display, and Regenerative Braking. Also features like geofencing, navigation assist, remote battery charge status, last park location, incoming call alerts, and SMS alerts.
