Police have filed a case against Akram Rashid Qureshi from Qureshigalli for posting a photo and text about Aurangzeb on his WhatsApp status. This incident took place in Pune's Indapur the complaint was lodged by BJP city president Kiran Ganbote from Ambikanagar at the Indapur police station.

On March 2, around 9:30 PM, Qureshi shared a photo of Aurangzeb with the caption "3 March Wafat e Hazrat Aurangzeb Alamgir R.A." The following morning, Ganbote viewed the post and believed it glorified Aurangzeb, potentially hurting Hindu sentiments and disturbing public peace. He claimed the post could incite tensions between Hindu and Muslim communities, leading him to file a complaint. After the case was registered, Havaldar Prakash Mane and Havaldar Salman Khan apprehended Qureshi within an hour.

In response, Police Inspector Suryakant Kokane increased security around dargahs, mosques, and temples in the area to ensure peace. Faujdar Dattatray Lendwe is conducting further investigations.
