In just eight days since launching its massive recruitment drive, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has received over 25,000 applications for 620 permanent posts under Group-C and Group-D categories. This marks NMMC’s largest recruitment initiative since 2008 and is being conducted with an assurance of full transparency, according to civic officials.The online application process, which began on March 28, has already seen an overwhelming response, with over 25,000 candidates registering within the first eight days. Since 2008, no large-scale recruitment had been conducted, despite many employees retiring or receiving promotions, creating a backlog of vacancies.“All recruitment details, including the schedule and job descriptions, are available on the official NMMC website: www.nmmc.gov.in ,” said Sharad Pawar, Deputy Commissioner of the Administration Department, NMMC. “So far, more than 3,500 applicants have also paid the examination fees.
