Aurangabad, April 1:

The Vedantnagar police have booked three persons including a tenant couple for making a forged sale deed in the name of the deceased landlord. The accused have been identified as Bhimrao Dada Hivarale, his wife Pramila Hivarale (New Baijipura) and Kiran Shivaji Borde (Tiranga Chowk, Pandharpur).

According to the details, complainant, Laxmibai Raghunath Sonawane has a house at Baijipura in name of her deceased husband who died in 2017. The house was given to the Hivarale couple on rent. However, they stopped paying the rent since 2020. The complainant and her daughters-in-law asked for the rent but the Hivarale couple ignored them stating the reason of Corona pandemic. After few months, they told the complainant that they had purchased the house from Raghunath Sonawane in 2016 and made a sale deed on bond paper. Meanwhile, the sons of the complainant gained a true copy of the sale deed and found that the sign of Sonawane was forged on it. Later, the complainant lodged a complaint with the Commissioner of Police. After conducting an inquiry in the matter, a case was registered at the Vedantnagar police station on Wednesday. Accused Pramila is the buyer in the sale deed and the witness is her husband Bhimrao. The Vedantnagar police have arrested the accused.
