Aurangabad, April 27:

The health teams of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today have detected 52 persons as Covid-19 positives during the special testing drives conducted at separate places in the city.

31 Covid-19 patients detected at six PoEs

The AMC has tested visitors entering the city limits through six points of the entrance (PoE) on Tuesday. The health teams tested 238 persons and found 13 infected patients at Chikalthana PoE; tested 181 and detected seven at Harsul T Point PoE, tested 258 and found seven Covid-19 positives at Kanchanwadi PoE, tested 304 and detected two at Octroi Naka PoE, tested 106, and detected one at Daulatabad T-Point PoE, and one was detected by testing 161 at Jhalta Phata PoE.

14 passengers detected as Covid-19 patients

A total of eight passengers arriving by train and six by air, in the city on Monday, have been reported as Covid-19 positives today. As reported earlier, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health teams had conducted RT-PCR tests on 70 passengers arriving at the railway station by trains and 25 passengers arriving at Chikalthana airport by various planes on April 26. The AMC received the RT-PCR reports of these passengers today. Meanwhile, the AMC health teams have conducted RT-PCR tests of 105 train passengers arriving at the railway station and 22 tests on air passengers at the Chikalthana airport today (on April 27). The administration will receive their reports by tomorrow.

Seven Covid-19 spreaders detected on roads

The 12 mobile teams (comprising AMC health and police personnel) have conducted antigen tests of 117 persons moving on the roads, in the jurisdiction of 15 police stations, and detected seven Covid-19 patients on Tuesday. The testing is done in two shifts (from 9 am to 5 pm and 5 pm to 1 am) and there are six teams in each shift.
