Aurangabad, Nov 15:

In all, 8 persons were blazed due to crackers on Saturday while they were treated at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

The administration has created awareness among the people to use green crackers this year during Diwali due to the Corona crisis. On Saturday, crackers were busted in large numbers on the occasion of Laxmipujan. In all, 8 persons blazed due to crackers were treated till Sunday evening, informed acting medical superintendent, Dr Vikas Rathod. All these patients were treated at the GMCH, and none of them needed to be admitted for treatment. In the past few years, the number of patients injured due to crackers have reduced due to the awareness among the people.
