The health teams of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today has detected 80 Covid-19 patients during the special testing drives conducted at separate places in the city.

65 Covid-19 patients detected at six PoEs

The AMC has started testing visitors entering the city limits through six points of the entrance (PoE) today. The health teams tested 239 persons and found 11 infected patients at Chikalthana PoE; tested 170 and detected 26 at Harsul T- Point PoE, tested 176 and found 12 Covid-19 positives at Kanchanwadi PoE, tested 657 and detected seven at Octroi Naka PoE, tested 229 and detected five at Daulatabad T-Point PoE and four detected by testing 185 at Jhalta Phata PoE.

15 passengers detected as Covid-19 patients

In a surprising development, 12 train and three air passengers, who had arrived in the city on Friday, have been reported as Covid-19 positive today. The AMC health teams had conducted RT-PCR tests on 97 passengers arriving at the railway station by trains and 25 passengers arriving at Chikalthana airport by plane on April 2. The reports received by the health section confirmed the development. Meanwhile, the AMC health teams conducted RT-PCR tests on 114 train passengers and seven air passengers (on April 3). The reports will be received tomorrow.
