Aurangabad, June 10:

The admission process for seats under the Right to Education (RTE) Act will commence in the district from June 11.

It may be noted that 25 per cent of seats are reserved for economically poor section students of society in private non-aided schools under RTE. The Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) held a draw of lots for admissions on online in Pune on April 7. A total of 3,625 students from 603 schools were selected for the admissions.

The process of sending messages to parents about their child's selection had begun on April 15, but it was halted. RTE Parents Association demanded that the documents verification process be carried out at the school level considering Covid situation in April. Education officer Surajprasad Jaiswal issued orders to restart the admission process from June 11.

The parents of the selected students should confirm the admissions online first.

The education officer said that 20 days should be given for the admission and those parents who cannot come to the school, the admission process of their children should be completed through mobile and Whatsapp.

He said that if a parent of a selected student does not confirm admission at the school within a given deadline, students from the waiting list should be given admissions. The schools were asked to ensure that 100 per cent of seats should be filled.

Parents who face any problem should contact the grievance committee. Admissions will not be given if the wrong information is filled in the application form.
