Aurangabad, July 22:

A 30-year-old youth fed up of prolonged ailment committed suicide by consuming poison at Thergaon in Shivar in Pachod area on Wednesday night. The family member after knowing about it immediately rushed him to the hospital. He died on Thursday morning while undergoing treatment. The deceased has been identified as Hamid Ansar Shaikh.

Police said, Hamid Shaikh was a labourer and also used to do tailoring work. He was suffering from a disease for the past few years. Hence, he was depressed and was mentally disturbed. Fed up of his ailment, he consumed poison. The family members took him to the Pachod rural hospital. Later he was taken to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where he died while undergoing treatment on Thursday morning. A case has been registered at the Pachod police station.
