Aurangabad, March 19:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health officials conducted 1,596 antigen and 2,422 RT-PCR tests (total of 4,018 tests) at its COVID Care Centres (CCCs) and different places in the city and traced 387 Covid-19 patients (including five residents of areas out of the AMC limits) today.

The health teams conducted 268 antigen tests at the CCCs and detected 133 persons as infected. The AMC personnel also held 1,001 RT-PCR tests at the CCCs. Meanwhile, by visiting different parts of the city, the mobile teams have conducted 1,290 antigen tests and detected 244 Coronavirus infected persons. They also collected swab samples of 1,127 suspects for RT-PCR tests.

According to AMC data, the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) conducted 72 RT-PCR tests; District Civil Hospital - 45 and private laboratories - 177 on Friday. The private laboratories also conducted 38 antigen tests and found 10 infected patients. The AMC will be receiving the reports of all RT-PCR tests tomorrow.
