Aurangabad, June 1:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to monitor the health status of Covid-19 patients, who are under home isolation, has started a dedicated Call Centre. The centre is also keeping a track of recovered patients to know whether they are having any health complications after recovering from the infection during the post-Covid-19 period.

The Call Centre is headed by the medical officer Dr Megha Jogdand and through telephonic communication, the centre had contacted 640 patients under home isolation and 1750 post-Covid-19 patients in the last two days.

The civic authorities contact the patients and inquire do they have any health problems; are they taking their prescribed medicines on time; are they checking the pulse rate and oxygen saturation level regularly by oximeters etc. While to the citizens enjoying the post-Covid-19 situation, the Centre is asking them whether they are feeling exhausted? If they say ' Yes' then doctors at the centre suggest them to consume more quantity of water, take lemon juice, etc. While some of them told that they are feeling obstruction in their noses, then they were told to contact the ENT doctors. Dr Sachin Hake and Dr Madhuri Gavhane are giving medical advice to these citizens.
