Aurangabad, July 4:
The Pundliknagar and Jinsi police, in a joint action, seized an arms haul including 49 swords, gupti, and kukri ordered online, at Baijipura on Sunday morning. The police arrested accused Irfan Khan Ayub Khan, alias Danish. He was presented before the court and was remanded in police custody for six days. Strict action will be taken against the online weapon sellers and suppliers, briefed DCP Deepak Girhe to the press.
Danish, initially, used to order swords online and give it on rent during the marriage ceremonies. Later, he started selling it and gained a good profit from it. Hence, he gave a large order to a courier company to supply the weapons. The police are investigating whether he had ordered a big haul of weapons for sale or any other purpose and the other persons involved in it. It is also being seen whether the weapons were ordered in the backdrop of the upcoming municipal corporation elections. The Pundliknagar police have already seized the vehicle of the courier company.
Today, the police seized 49 swords and other weapons from Danish’s house. Inquiry of the sellers, suppliers and receiver will be done, said DCP Girhe.

The action was executed by the police team PSI Gokul Thakur, Shaikh Sarvar, Datta Shelke, ASI Ayub Pathan, Sampat Rathod, Harun Shaikh, Bhausaheb Jagtap, Gani Shaikh, Balu Thorat, Sunil Jadhav, Sanjay Gawade, Irfan Khan, Balaram Chaure, Ajay Kamble, Deepak Jadhav, Pravin Gule, Ravi Jadhav, Ramesh Sangle and others. The seized weapons included 36 swords, 6 kukri, 2 Gupti, 5 big blades.
