Aurangabad, July 1:

AIU-Bamu Foundation of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) signed a memorandum of understanding with Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone Limited (AMTZ) to provide on-demand portable oxygen concentrator machines on rent to Covid patients.

It may be noted that many districts faced a shortage of oxygen during the peak period of Covid 19.

The MedTech Zone, supported by AIM-NITI Ayog started manufacturing a portable oxygen concentrator machine to give on rent to patients. It also developed an application, ‘O2Home’, which will book the requirement of an oxygen concentrator for any patient in the district.

AIC-Bamu Foundation will handle this medical equipment on the premises and ensure safe storage.

The MoU will be for 11 months. All the processes of booking, transporting and financial part will be handled by AMTZ through their application.

AMTZ already started the services in other cities of the country, including Visakhapatnam, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Indore, Coimbatore, Guwahati, Nagpur, Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Pune, Jaipur and Raipur.

COVID positive patients in home isolation will be able to get oxygen concentrators on rent through the ‘O2Home’ application at affordable charges to save the life of people.
