Aurangabad, March 13:

Science Hub of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) and MIT college jointly hosted a soil testing programme at Chiktalthan in Kanand on Thursday to help farmers of the district.

Around 150 farmers participated in the programme under the government scheme.

The university and MIT team gave the farmers information about current fertility, soil health and nutrient deficiencies. Vishwanath Chavan inaugurated the event.

Dr Mahendra Shirsath, Bharti Gavli,Arvind Dhabe,Dr Pravin Yannwar, Dr Ramesh Manza and others guided the farmers.

Sarpanch Shivaji Dhanedhar, deputy sarpanch Kirti Kale, Duttu Jadhav, Pratap Chavan and others were present.
