The city is facing the mixed weather of morning cold, afternoon heat, and night chilling now. The residents suffer from cough, cold, fever, headache, and throat irritation due to the varied temperature in the atmosphere. Several of them are also facing severe breathing problems.

The rain was satisfactory this year, and hence the cold is predicted to be severe. The residents were facing several problems due to the Corona pandemic for the past seven months. Due to the sudden change in the weather, various viral diseases have grappled them now. Moreover, they are afraid whether they are infected by Coronavirus as they are suffering from cold, sneezing and cough. If these symptoms prevail for more than four days, the patients should contact the doctors, the doctors advised.

The maximum temperature recorded during October was 33.4 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 21.2 degrees Celsius. Similarly, November''s maximum temperature so far is 31.1 degrees Celsius and the minimum 15.0 degrees Celsius.

Head of the medicine department of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH, Dr Meenakshi Kulkarni said that allergic patients are on the rise. The patients having a fever can have Corona, and hence the tests of the suspects are conducted, she said.

The doctors have advised using warm cloths, especially for the children. The patients with cold and cough symptoms should not take medicines without prescriptions from medical practitioners. People should take adequate rest and nutritious food. If the fever is more than five days, the patients should immediately go to the doctors, follow social distancing, and use masks and sanitizers.
