Aurangabad, Jan 4:

The district civil surgeon Dr S V Kulkarni today visited the house of the 57-year-old woman, who was infected by Covid-19, after she returned from England, on December 25.

The lady underwent treatment in the city hospital, and when her two reports tested negative, she was given a discharge from the hospital. Hence to inquire about her health, the civil surgeon reached her home and had tea with the family. The woman is fit and fine, and also 21 days had been completed to her arrival in India.

As reported earlier, the sensation prevailed after the woman was tested as positive as all were fearing about the new strain of Coronavirus. The health machinery, however, heaved a sigh of relief on her recovery. Presently, the youth, who also tested Covid-19 positive (after returning from England) is undergoing treatment in the district civil hospital. The hospital collected his swab sample today, and he would also be given discharged, if his report is tested negative, it is learnt.

Meanwhile, the health administration is waiting to get reports of the above two patients from NIV-Pune. The samples were sent during last week. Hence it is not yet clear whether the infection was an old or new strain of Covid-19.
