Aurangabad, March 10: Municipal administrator Astik Kumar Pandey inaugurated a special covid-19 isolation ward started at Seth Nandlal Dhoot Hospital, here today.

Situated at a short distance from the main building, the isolation ward which has capacity to handle 35 patients, has oxygen beds as well as other required facilities.

The doctors, paramedical staff and other staff of the hospital were felicitated by Pandey with a certificate and a bouquet for being the Corona warriors.

SNDH medical director Dr Vijay Borgaonkar, administrator Dr Himanshu Gupta, Dr Vilas Magarkar, Dr Uday Phute, Dr Amol Kulkarni, Dr Varun Gawli, Dr Shekhar Shiradhonkar, Dr Renu Boralkar, head of finance Sushil Mantri, Sanjay Surve, and all the other doctors and staff were present.

SNDH trustee Rajkumar Dhoot congratulated the hospital administration for felicitating the Corona warriors and for starting the new isolation ward.

Mangesh Deshpande, Jayant Kulkarni, Ram Babarekar, Atish Dayama and other staff worked for the success of this programme.

Corona's first patient was admitted on March 7, 2020 at SNDH. Since then the hospital has treated many Covid-19 patients.
