Aurangabad, Jan 23:

The graph of Novel coronavirus vaccination has gone up slightly in the district on Saturday.

It may be noted that the vaccination campaign was launched on January 16. A total of 936 health employees were vaccinated out of targeted 1300 today while 364 staffers turned their back.

Nearly 694 got vaccinated at six vaccination centres of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) including Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

There was a plan to administer the vaccine to 100 employees. The number of daily doses was increased on Saturday. As per the plan, 900 doses were to be administered at six centres. The highest number of doses were administered at MGM Centre (274).

AMC Health officer Dr Neeta Padalkar said that the vaccination percentage in the city is 77.11.

District vaccination officer Dr Vijaykumar Wagh said that 936 health employees were administered the vaccine in the district today. District Civil Surgeon Dr Sundar Kulkarni said that vaccination ratio increased in rural areas.

In GMCH, just 28 staff members, including from Pediatrics Department, turned up for the vaccination out of 100. Except first, less than 40 doses were administered daily in this hospital. Health Department officers said that one employee at one of the city centres had a mild reaction to the vaccine. The employee complained of fever and headache.
