Aurangabad, March 6:

The number of Covid-19 is increasing daily. There are also plans to impose a mandatory lockdown. In such a situation, the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Mahamandal is in a dilemma whether to postpone the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan in Nashik. The Marathwada Sahitya Parishad (MSP) president Kautikrao Thale Patil informed that a decision regarding the sammelan will be taken on Sunday.

Corona has placed a number of restrictions on the organization of events. It is simply impossible to hold a literary convention in these conditions. Therefore, in such a situation, it is better to postpone the Sahitya Sammelan. The scheduled date for the literature meeting is the last week of March. Therefore, preparations for the organization of Sahitya Sammelan in Nashik are in full swing and more than half of the work is left. In such a situation, it will be difficult to decide to cancel the literary convention. Moreover, if the Sahitya Sammelan is not held in the current financial year i.e. in the month of March, then the question of subsidy will arise again. Therefore, it has become difficult for the mahamandal to come to a decision.

We are thinking of organizing the Sahitya Sammelan. We will hold talks with Nashik guardian minister Chhagan Bhujbal and other office bearers on Sunday. A detailed discussion will be held with the people of Nashik, taking into account the preparations they have made. Only then will we review all these matters and decide whether there will be a literary convention or not said, Patil.
