Aurangabad, Nov 20:

The district has received the funds from the National Health Mission (NHM) for treating the Corona patients. Now, considering the possibility of second wave of Corona, the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) has demanded the funds of Rs 21.68 crores to the CEO of zilla parishad (ZP) Dr Mangesh Gondavale. The expenditure draft has been prepared considering the earlier expenditure since March, informed the GMCH dean Dr Kanan Yelikar.

Deputy Dean, Dr Bharat Sonawane met CEO Dr Gondawale on September 9 and presented the expenditure draft for the contractual human resources, oxygen, medicines, surgical equipment, laboratory equipment and others. Thee NHM project officer, Dr Mundhe had suggested the GMCH to present the plan draft again.

Dr Gondawale said, the decision about the demand for funds will be taken at the state level. The draft has been submitted to the health service directorate, he said.
